DIASIO D962R TURBO

The D962R Turbo has all the features of the standard D962R, but adds a Garrett G35 Turbo, Tial 44mm external wastegate, intercooler, and larger primary injectors. The engine produces 435 bhp, and 235 lb-ft of torque at only 9 psi of boost. This means that the engine retains its reliability while producing 181 more horsepower than the standard Renesis D962R motor. The weight of the car is 1440 lbs.; that is a 3.4 lb/hp ratio- a truly awesome number!

To handle the additional power, solid 300M material halfshafts replace the standard shafts of the D962R. The material is incredibly strong, 300,000 psi, and can easily handle the horsepower. The boost gauge is integrated into the AIM dash, and all data is recorded for future analysis.

Due to the exhaust pressure of the rotary engine, combined with the very short intercooler tube lengths, there is very little turbo lag, and huge power is available from 4500 rpm right to the 8500 redline! The car retains its driveability, but the increased acceleration makes the D962R Turbo the most awesome track day car. It combines the safety of the D962R chassis with the raw acceleration of the turbo. The D962R Turbo has never been passed in a straight- ever! If you watch the mirrors in the video of the Turbo, you can see just how quickly the cars are passed- like they are tied to an anchor.
