DIASIO D962R

Engine

The D962R comes standard with the new RX-8 based Renesis engine, which puts out 254 hp (in stock form), and 178 ft./lb. of torque. This engine is brand new- a 'crate' engine. This engine is fuel injected and is controlled by a Microtech ECU, which is fully programmable.

Transaxle

The engine is mated to the Hewland 6-speed sequential FTR Transaxle. This is the same racing transaxle used in Formula 3 in Europe. The transaxle comes with a reverse gear, standard. The gears can infinitely switched for different combinations to produce ultimate efficiency on the race track.

Brakes

11.75" Wilwood veined rotors, 4-piston Dynalite calipers- standard all four corners. Cockpit brake- bias control also standard.

Oil System & Engine Cooling

Dry sump oil system- standard. Dry sump tank is located at the front of the transaxle, which puts the weight low & centered in the race car. Dual remote oil filters. Large aluminum Saldana radiator & SETRAB oil cooler.

Steering & Suspension

Woodward steering rack with many combinations for steering ratio. Adjustable coil-over Advanced Racing Suspension shocks in front & rear.

Instrumentation

The standard dash in the D962R is the AIM MXL. It is an awesome tool that provides 5 programmable shift lights, programmable alarms, gear indicator, rpm, speed, water temp, oil temp, oil press, lap times, g-load, data logging, and track mapping. Standard! Information can be downloaded directly from the dash, and in a minute, display a complete track map, with lap times, and all data through the course of the session. You can watch a flying lap around the map, seeing what your terminal speed is at the end of the straight, entering the corner, through the corner, exiting the corner, and throughout the rest of the session. You can see what your lateral g-load is at every single point of the race track. Adjustments can be made between sessions, and see exactly how they are affecting the car's performance. This alone is probably the most valuable method of improving your lap times and performance at any race track.
